So you’ll see that I talk about helping people rediscover the creativity and joy in their business. But why do I care if you enjoy your work and get to use your creative mind?

Because I know how hard it is when you don’t enjoy your work activities and you don’t get to use your creativity.

I know what it’s like when you have that creative urge you can’t explain to anyone – when you just need to write, to create a thing, to play with an idea, to share something with the world. I know what it’s like to get into flow and happily lose hours writing or creating.

And so I also know what it’s like when you’re caged in by your work and you don’t have any time for playing with your new ideas. Yes you’re self-employed, but you’ve fallen into things that don’t work for you even though they bring in the money, and you’ve forgotten how to do the things that bring you joy in your work. (Or maybe you never really figured out what they were in the first place.)

And maybe you’re also overwhelmed with new ideas, but not only do you not have the time to play with any of them, but if you do get half an hour to think about it you can’t figure out where to go next anyway, so you just go round in circles and give up yet again.
