What is creative weirdness and why might you want to rediscover it?

In a previous post I mentioned “creative weirdness” and explained that I define this as creativity, playfulness and quirkiness.

But why would you want this in your business?

If you’re “creative” (whether that’s someone who enjoys expressing themselves creatively, or considers themselves a creative thinker with a lot of ideas), I’m assuming that creativity is something you want to have in your everyday life – which includes work!

And although work is for earning money, as self-employed people we have the ability to set up our businesses however we want them. So why shouldn’t that include having fun?!

Maybe that’s the sort of fun that makes you laugh out loud, or just bringing a lot of curiosity to your work and experimenting and playing with new ideas. That’s what playfulness represents.

Which brings us onto quirkiness, the last part of my definition of creative weirdness. This is all about you being yourself – bringing your little bits of weirdness and uniqueness, your interests, your personality into your working life.  Being multi-passionate and doing things in your own way, not the way everyone else says you *should*. And by doing that finding the people you will enjoy working with.

So how could you find that or rediscover it?

As a coach, I can help you find or rediscover these elements in your working life and set some goals to work towards to ensure you embrace your creative weirdness.

And as a project manager with experience in business operations and marketing, I can help you implement the ideas you have had for services and marketing communications that reflect how you want your business to be.

And that’s it – that’s what creative weirdness is, and that’s how I can help you find or rediscover it.
