What I’m focusing on right now

Coaching skills training

I’m studying for an associate diploma in coaching. I’ll be studying until July and taking my final assessment in the autumn. I’ve now reached a point where I can take on clients, at a reduced rate while I’m still studying. Click here for more details.

Chatting to “creative weirdos”

I’m doing market research. If you think you fit this description and have 30 minutes for a chat, get in touch here. I might draw you a weird penguin doodle as a thank you 🐧.

Client work

I’m still working with clients – on untangling their services, marketing and ideas and acting as a sounding board as they navigate their workload. I’m also looking for coaching clients – with a focus on helping people who work for themselves. If we’ve not met before, you can read more about me and my approach here.

Figuring out my marketing

I’m doing lots of work on this behind the scenes, which the market research is helping with.

As a result of this thinking and my coaching course I’m not really doing much networking at the moment, beyond participating in a couple of freelance groups I’ve paid to belong to.

I sometimes share my marketing ponderings over on LinkedIn if you want to follow me there and contribute to the conversations.

A fractured toe

I’m 2 weeks into a 4-6 week recovery period. It’s a small fracture, and sensibly I hurt my left foot not my right, so I’ve borrowed an automatic car and can still get out and do a few things independently.

Penguins

I’m always drawing weird penguin doodles. I just go through phases of sharing them on Instagram, as social media takes up time and head space. I’m also working on a weird penguin A to Z e-book. I’m sharing a few doodles this week – pop over here to see them.

Summer holidays

It’s not long until the school summer holidays (late July) and I’ll be reducing my working hours over the summer. Probably to 2 days a week.
