I’ve put this page here because I didn’t want to exclude project management from my website. But it would take me forever to figure out how to list or summarise all the projects I’ve managed, written content for and otherwise been involved with in the last 25+ years!

About me

I love taking ideas and figuring out all the detail involved in how to make them happen – then sometimes helping to see them through and maybe also writing content.

I’m known for untangling things and making them clearer, helping people take action to complete projects, and being diligent at documenting instructions, outcomes and learnings.

Organisations I’ve worked with

Here are a few of the types of organisations I’ve worked with on marketing, communications and business operations projects in the last 25+ years. Corporate and agency (25 years +)

I’ve worked in the corporate world for companies including ICI Paints, Pfizer and Novartis, and in medical/health communications agencies including Havas Just and IQVIA.

Small and very small businesses (1-5 people) (10-15 years)

I’ve been around the local small business world for over 10 years and the online business world for a similar length of time, networking, learning and supporting other freelancers and small business owners in a variety of ways, including project planning and marketing.

I’ve also managed my own freelance business for almost 15 years, including marketing and finances. I regularly experiment with new ways of marketing and organising my business, so I have experience of all sorts of online tools. I have a love of learning new things, so I have also been a customer using a online learning platforms like Kajabi, Thinkific, Teachable.

Charity and community (20 years+)

I’ve volunteered for charity and community projects, mainly via Rotary and Rotaract but also directly for local charities. Some of that has been in marketing and communications, some has involved organising fundraising events or taking part in walking challenges, and some has been practical help eg gardening or painting. I have also worked on a few freelance marketing projects for small local charities.
